Lucas g. miller

As an actor with a love for classic movie history, wanderlust and adventure, Lucas G. Miller is looking to achieve his lifelong dream of big screen success. Growing up in Warwick, a sleepy rural farm town in New York’s lower Hudson Valley, he got his earliest inspiration from a local farmer’s barn adorned with portraits of Hollywood’s greatest actors … James Dean, Marlon Brando, Paul Newman, And Steve McQueen. Although as a boy, these film icons were not completely familiar, their likenesses inspired Lucas to look deep inside himself to figure out why this mural was having such an impact on him. He began studying their on and off screen personas leading to a true love of film and the performing arts along with some of America’s great literary geniuses particularly Jack Kerouac and Hunter S. Thompson.

 

Dean, Brando, Newman and McQueen became Lucas’s inspirations due to their rebellious nature, their small town upbringings and how they overcame all the odds stacked against them. Parallels with these legends were proof to him that anything was possible as long as you believe in yourself and relentlessly persue your goal.

Inspired by Sanford Meisner’s imaginative acting technique, Lucas began studying under local instructor David Patrick Wilson who was a student of Meisner at the Neighborhood Playhouse in Manhattan. David led Lucas in the right direction by gifting him with the essential knowledge and fine details of “Living truthfully under imaginary circumstances,” Meisner’s definition of acting. Working closely with David, he began to develop his own completely original acting style while staying true to Meisner’s technique. Lucas’s love for acting is continually growing and while he continues to hone his craft, he is seeking an agent with the same unrelenting drive.

 

Lucas is SAG eligible due to his role as the Grim Reaper in Joker: Folie à Deux.
